First & Last Mile describes passenger travel in the context of getting to a transit provider stop, and then from a stop to a final location. In the 2014 Active Travel Survey, walking was recorded as a ‘stage’ (where there is a change in the mode of transport) in around 1/3 of bus trips. Micromobility options can be utilised to address First & Last Mile gaps.
